Vice secretary of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand (CICT) and committee of halal business administration Preecha Anurak and vice director of the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand (HSIT) Kathavut Lohmud were lecturers of the academic seminar “Directions of Exporting Halal Food to the World Market” held by the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (NBACFS) where consultant of the NBACFS Uthai Pison was president
The seminar aimed to clarify detail, condition determination, and measures responding to agricultural item and halal food export. There were changes of knowledge, problems, obstacles, and various issues of exporting agricultural items and halal food of Thailand. Furthermore, it aimed to create system to respond to halal food in Thailand to be consistent with international standard and to be internationally accepted. There were 120 participators including representatives of the CICT, president of halal business division of each province, factory veterinarians, representatives of operators, halal supervisors, and officers of the HSIT. The seminar was held on May 22-24 at Pattaya Garden Hotel, Chonburi.
