THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF HALAL CERTIFIERS IS A FACT. 

BRUSSELS, 9 March 2010

Ten European Halal certifying organisations have founded the European Association of Halal Certifiers (AHC-EUROPE). 

The first step had been taken on the 24th of September 2009 in Germany, with a first meeting of Halal certifiers from Belgium (1), Bosnia (1), France (1), Germany (2), Spain (1), the Netherlands (2), Turkey (1) und the United Kingdom (1).

The AHC-EUROPA headquarters will be in Brussels. In the establishing meeting, AHC-Europe had laid down the following principles:

P1. The European Association of Halal Certifiers (AHC-Europe) is an Islamic, independent, non-profit and non-governmental (NGO) institution, that aims to create cooperation, to facilitate activities among its member organisations, and serve third parties as an institution of reference in Halal matters in Europe.

P2. The objective of the European Association of Halal Certifiers (AHC-Europe) is to call for attention for Halal and Tayyib (allowed and wholesome nutrition and food), as well as for the quality in the field of Halal certification and the guarantee of Halal products in Europe.

P3. The European Association of Halal Certifiers (AHC-Europe) supports the creation and the development of European and international Halal institution that engages in matters concerning Halal standardisation, education, training, accreditation and other affairs.

The representative of Halal Control Germany, Mr. Mahmoud Tatari B-Eng, has been elected the first president of AHC-EUROPE, until December 2010.

Mrs. Yasmina Ben-Koubia MA has been elected media coordinator of AHC-EUROPE for the same period. 

The Foundation Halal Correct Certification- TQ HCC is a member and co-initiator of AHC-Europe
